It is so much fun painting our new models again. After a summer of painting up fantasy models for Frostrgave and just working on contrast and NMM I’ve really come a long way, especially on painting skin. More on that later. For now, let’s revisit Jane. Bernie prompted me to brighter her up and I think she looks a little better this week than last. I also darkened the lamp bulb a little bit to offset the “white” of Jane’s body.

Also, a quick shout out to Epic Duck Studios, the new series of videos called “Just Paint the Base” has inspired me to up my game and freehand the cracked pavement on our latest set of prototypes. I hope I’m doing it justice. If you watch his stream there may be a chance to win one of our metal prototype factions in the future so go check it out!
Then I got to work on Little Jenny. Aside from her drunken fist pose she has a lot of tattoos, some freehand on her shirt, and an electricity effect on her fists. Super fun model to paint.
Last but not least, I got a start on the ruthless leader of the Red Dragons, Lady Rose. There is a lot to paint here as well: bladed fan, floral print dress, and a badass pose. I’m especially happy with how her skin is coming along.
I still need to paint her hair and a tiny RD tattoo on her ankle and I think the fan could use a little more definition.
